To provide quality educational programs and publications pertinent to the industry and times.

bulletTo work closely with health care related agencies statewide, other health care associations and legislators for the benefit of all health care providers, personnel and Residents of our facilities.

Objectives

The objectives of the Illinois Nursing Home Administrators Association are to support an organization comprised of qualified healthcare professionals who, through this body, shall accomplish the following:

To represent, and give a voice to, those LTC Administrators who desire to improve their profession and themselves.

bullet

To provide well being to the public and maintain the highest quality of administration to the LTC facility.

bullet

To establish and evaluate standards of excellence within the administrative field.

bullet

To develop, promote and provide standards of education and training for LTC Administrators.

bullet

To publish information that supports the educational objectives of the Association and enhances the educational needs of licensed administrators in Illinois.

bullet

To provide peer networking opportunities thereby assisting members statewide to seek and maintain the highest in quality care for our Residents.

bulletTo always advance the quality of Resident care in facilities to the highest possible level

Meetings & Seminars

Educational seminars, the heart of the Association, are held quarterly. The Annual Meeting of the membership is held in the Fall. INHAA is an approved "Nursing Home Administrator Continuing Education Sponsor" with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Educational credits (CEUs) provided by the INHAA are in excess of 30 per year. INHAA tracks CEUs for its members during the current licensure period.

bulletAs a not-for-profit corporation, INHAA fees for membership and seminars are designed to encourage active participation and quality education, at a reasonable expense.

Publications & Communications

The Administrator’s Advocate is the Association’s monthly newsletter. Regular articles that appear in the newsletter consist of legislative reports, legal issues, regulatory updates, and a classified section for employment opportunities. Space is also available for industry-related advertising.

bulletAdditional member communications consist of mailings regarding educational conferences held by the Association including the Fall annual convention and trade show. Supplemental information is sent to members via facsimiles (FAX) and e-mail as are deemed timely and appropriate by INHAA Committee Chairs and/or Board of Directors.

Membership

bulletINHAA is the only association within Illinois designed specifically for the benefit of the Administrator. Yearly memberships begin on January 1st and are $100.00.

Classes of Membership

bullet

Active – Administrators licensed in the State of Illinois who are actively engaged in, or whose primary responsibility is, the continuity of care in the long term care (LTC) facility.

bullet

Associate/Business – Companies or persons (i.e. vendors or ancillary personnel) whose field of interest or employment is related to LTC which is designed to assist in an individual’s continuity of care program.

bullet

Honorary – An individual described as "Active" who is no longer active but remains interested in the activities of the Association. Honorary members are a select few distinctively nominated and voted on by other active members.

bulletStudent – Individuals engaged in a course of study related to health care, specifically geriatrics and/or LTC.
